One of the celebrities short-listed to emerge as the Face of Hope ambassador, Bob Manuel-Udokwu, has devised another means of canvassing for votes from members of the public.

Unlike other contestants who have been campaigning through customized T-shirts, Facebook and television programmes, Bob Manuel is now campaigning through a bulk text message randomly sent to MTN subscribers.

The message reads: “Dear fan/friend, kindly vote Bob as Face of Hope 2010 & help over one million children into schools. Text FOH Bob Manuel to 33810 [MTN] and 35810 [other networks]. Forward SMS to two friends.”

The actor is also one of the celebrities that are participating in the on-going Gulder Ultimate Search celebrity showdown.
