FANS of the 10 Nollywood and music stars participating in the ongoing Celebrity Takes 2 have swung into action to retain their celebrities on the reality dance show as scoring and voting has started.

Following request by the custodian of the show, the Spirit of David, several SMS were sent to assess performances of the celebrities featuring on the programme.

While some believe that Yinka Davies is the best dancer among the lots, others are of the opinion that Kel dances better than Fathia Balogun and shouldn't have been given the same score with her.

Four of the stars, however, have been placed on probation after scoring the least in their performances on the show last week. They are Faze, Fathia Balogun, Zaccky Azzay and Kel.

Out of 30 marks, Faze and Zaccky scored 15, while Fathia and Kel scored 13. The performance, based on the assessment of judges, fell below expectation and does not guarantee automatic continuation of the celebrities in the programme.

Yemi Blaq, Stella Damascus, and Davies scored 23, 21, and 20 respectively when they treated viewers to the rhythm of the Argentine Tango/Samba routine. Dakore, Obione and Fred Amata automatically remain on the show with their 18, 17 and 16 points.

One of these celebrities, and his or her dance partner, will be eased out at the end of the week, while nine will remain when the show resumes next week.

Dakore has admitted that the exercise is challenging and very tedious because it consumes time. According to her, contestants must set aside time for rehearsals if they want to go far on the show. On whether she expects to win, Dakore said she was just taking it one step at a time.” I am not thinking that far. I just want to deal with this week's dance and move onto the next and if God sees it fit, I win fine. If I don't, fine”.

Although Zaccky would love to win, he acknowledged the fact that winning is in the hands of God. Every contestant may be working towards winning, but there is only one trophy. This, he said, is a challenge that is demanding more and more effort from each contestant.

For Stella, the overall result of the show does not matter much. What matters most is what she is able to learn during the programme, saying this would assist in improving her performance on stage after the Celebrity Takes 2.
