I Left My Church Because Of A Breakup – Morayo Afolabi-Brown
Popular media personality Morayo Afolabi-Brown has opened up about her decision to leave Harvesters International Christian Centre, revealing that a painful breakup was the reason behind her departure. She shared this personal story during a recent episode of her podcast, where she sat down with Pastor Bolaji Idowu for an intimate conversation.
Brown disclosed that she and her former partner were both actively involved in ministry at the church at the time of their breakup. She served as the head usher, while he was a minister. The emotional weight of the situation, she explained, made it unbearable for her to remain in the same spiritual space where they had once served together.
According to her, Pastor Bolaji Idowu personally pleaded with her to stay, but she had already made up her mind to leave.
She wrote:
"I left Harvesters Church because of a man. He broke up with me. We were both ministers at the church; I was the head usher, and he was a minister. Pastor Bolaji begged me not to go, but I refused."
