Trinidadian rapper and singer Onika Tanya Maraj, popularly known as Nicki Minaj, has opened up on the reason she quit attending church.

Speaking in a recent episode of The Bryce Crawford podcast, Minaj explained that after attaining fame in her career, attending church regularly became difficult as she had shows over the weekend.

She however, maintained that despite not been a regular churchgoer, her relationship with her Maker is still waxing strong.

According to Minaj, she struggles spiritually sometimes, yet she keeps building her faith.

She said:
"Once my career started taking off, I stopped going to church. I was working on Friday nights and Saturday nights, so the last thing I could do was wake up on Sunday mornings to go to church."
