My Worth Is Not Determined By Any Award" – Yul Edochie
Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has bragged about his self worth, stating that he needs no award to validate his career.
Speaking in a candid episode of the Honest Bunch Podcast, he hailed himself as one of the greatest actors, arguing that he needs no recognition from the Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards to confirm his talent.
According to him, there are performances he has showcased acted in movies four, five, six years ago, and none of his colleagues have been able to replicate it.
The controversial actor also emphasized that his worth is not tied to anyone, but his Maker, and the efforts he puts into his craft and his viewers.
He said:
“Performances that I have dropped four, five, six years ago no actor has been able to replicate it till date. I am one of the greatest. So I will not wait until AMVCA calls me. Call anybody you want to call. I do not have any problem with them. Have you seen me rant on social media before?
“A group of people gathered to say this is who they are giving to. I am not bothered. Anywhere I find myself, I will keep doing well. Any movie you keep me, I will do my best and drop a fantastic performance. Your like or attitude towards me does not concern me. I have fans from all over the world. My worth is not determined by you. My worth is determined by God. It is determined by the amount of work that I put in and the viewers."
