"One Hurt Should Not Automatically Become Justification For Another" – Ayo Makun Speaks On Emotional Neglect And Betrayal
Popular Nigerian comedian Ayo Makun has shared his view on the disadvantage of emotional neglect and betrayal that has become the order of the day in the society today.
The actor took to the popular microblogging platform, X (formerly known as Twitter) to share his view, pointing out how picking sides in an issue is now rampant.
AY emphasized the disadvantage of emotional neglect and betrayal, describing them as "painful," while urging the public against using one hurt committed against them as justification for another.
According to him, relationships will thrive better if both parties embrace accountability.
He wrote:
“We have normalised choosing sides so much that we no longer ask what truly went wrong.
Emotional neglect is painful. Betrayal is painful, too.
One hurt should not automatically become justification for another.
Maybe relationships would survive more if accountability were shared instead of outsourced."
