"When I Was Not Active Online, The Music Industry Was Shut Down - Davido
Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has boasted that the Nigerian music industry was shut down during his 3-month break from social media in November 2022 following the tragic death of his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.
The 'Unavailable' crooner claimed that he became aware that people love him when he took a break from social media. According to him, the Nigerian music industry shut down due to his break from social media.
Speaking in a recent interview with Apple Music’s Ebro Darden.
Davido said:
“I knew that people love me because when I was not active online, the whole [Nigerian music] industry was shut down. I was seeing tweets like, ‘We do love him’, ‘It’s so quiet out here’, ‘Davido come back.’ Even the fans who hate me were like, ‘Please, come back, we need to bash you."
