Popular Nigerian veteran rapper, Michael Ugochukwu Steven, popularly known as Ruggedman, has made a strong claim of being the first Nigerian young singer artiste to own a personal car.
The rapper, who was in a recent interview with Echo Room, stated that he first owned a car before his colleagues like P-Square and D’banj.
He said:
“I bought my BMW for N900,000 in 2004. I was the first young Nigerian artist to own a car before them P-Square and D’banj.”
Ruggedman further claimed that during his early music days, it was just few artistes who owned cars and they were signed to Kennis Music, which means that it was an official car, not a personal car.

“The only artists that had cars then were signed to Kennis Music. They didn’t own the cars. They were only given to them for official use. Tuface shared the same car with his labelmates then.”
