The wife of the General overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Foluke Adeboye, has opened up on the personal sacrifice she had to make once she became a sanctified Christian.

In a now-viral interview, the wife of Pastor E.A Adeboye admitted that she was a fashion lover, but had to put it aside after joining RCCG, whose doctrine prevented the usage of jewelries.

She also recounted how she had to do away with jeweleries, some items she had been keeping for her child, explaining that it was against her conviction.

Foluke Adeboye also highlighted how her decision didn't sit down well with her mother's friend, who suggested that the items be given to her mother, however, she rebuffed the request.

She also added that she has no regrets of her decision to throw away all her jewelry into the lagoon.

“Every woman loves fashion. The moment we were born again then in RCCG, it was a taboo for you to have earrings. So everything, I dropped it in the lagoon."

"Whatever is not good for me is not good for my mother."

She expressed no regrets, stating, “I don’t miss anything, not much."
