Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has reacted to the speculations of the death of his father and veteran actor, Pete Edochie.

Recall that social media was abuzz, as a viral rumour claimed that Pete Edochie was rushed to the hospital before his death. It was also suggested that his son, Uche Edochie, confirmed the development on social media.

Addressing the viral speculation, Yul shared a photo of his father on his Instagram page, showering him with several accolades, while praying for him to live long.

Quashing rumours of his father's death, the actor stated that he is alive, hale and hearty. He also urged the public to ignore any false news that suggests the death of his father.

He wrote:

You will definitely live beyond 100yrs.
To the public, disregard any false news saying Chief Pete Edochie passed away.

The Lion of Africa is fully alive, hail and hearty.
