"She Still Lives In Our Heart Forever" - Kunle Afod Mourns Passing Of Aunty Ajara
Nollywood actor, Kunle Afod, has expressed his grief following the passing of his colleague, Aunty Ajara.
Recall that Aunty Ajara was pronounced dead on Thursday, February 5, much to the dismay of many Nollywood stars and netizens.
Following her passing, she was buried on the same day, in line with Islamic rites.
In a new development, the poster of the Muslim 8-day Fidau prayer disclosed the late actress age before her death as 27, and it is scheduled to be held on Thursday, February 2nd at 4, Terry Grillo Street, Beckley Estate.
Sharing the poster on his Instagram page, the Yoruba actor described her death as "unreal" noting that despite her death, she still lives in their hearts.
He also urged the public to join them in prayers as they prepare for the 8-day Fidau prayer.
He wrote:
"It still feels unreal…
Our beloved Ajara is gone, but she will live on in our hearts forever.
With total submission to the will of Almighty Allah, we announce the 8 Days Fidau Prayer of our beloved sister, Lasisi Ajarat Morenikeji, who returned to her Creator on February 5, 2026.
Kindly may us in prayers as we gather to pray for the peaceful repose of her soul.
May Allah forgive her shortcomings and grant her Aljanah Firdaus. Ameen.

The Nigerian Voice reported on Thursday, February 7 that Aunty Ajara had given up the ghost. Her demise was made public by her colleague, Tobi Oladdele Teemony, on his Instagram page on Thursday.
In his caption, he revealed that Aunty Ajara gave up the ghost overnight, following a "long and courageous battle with illness."
He also stated that before her death, she was a beneficiary of immense love, prayers, and financial assistance from several individuals across the world. He appreciated everyone who showed up for her during her battle with illness.
The Yoruba actor further urged the public to refrain from sending money to the previously shared account, because it is of no use.
