Dancing To Promote Cinema Movie: Timini, Kamo State, Funke Akindele, And Nosa Rex Continue The Act, Amid Drama
Amid the ongoing ruckus that has plagued the act of dancing to promote movies in Nollywood, movie stars, Timini, Kamo State, Funke Akindele, and Nosa Rex, have continued the trend.
Recall that The Nigerian Voice reported that producer and filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan in a viral interview described the act of dancing in movies as "draining" stating that if he was to create any movie in the cinema, he has to be convinced that "dancing" would not be part of the strategy. He also stressed that he cannot release a movie in the cinema and gross large numbers, yet is unable to make 10 Million out of it.
Afolayan's statement did not sit down well with Funke Akindele, as she took to her Instagram story to release a series of posts, expressing her disdain at his condescending remarks. She stressed that she is in no way hindering anyone's progress, urging him to create other promotional strategies for himself and let her be.
Not swayed by the drama, Timini, who is currently promoting his cinema movie 'Love & New Notes,' shared a video of himself, Kamo State, Funke Akindele and Nosa Rex dancing to promote the movie, amid the criticisms that have trailed the act.
In his caption, Timini downplayed steeze, stressing that he was not going to take it easy with the box office this year.
He wrote:
"Steeze for one corner first.. I no gree for box office this year o ... olouuuuun
