Ghanaian hip-hop singer, Ishmael Hamid aka Bollie of 'You May Kiss the Bride' fame has broken his silence on rumour about his death to www.nollywoodgists.com and that of his fan who was murdered last December. Bollie who is expected to release a ten track-album as soon as possible intends to do some collaboration with Nigerian artistes like
2Face Idibia.
The young Ghanaian said, “As you can confirm I am not dead though people fought at the club I attended but I was not affected by any means”. On the death of his fan “As per the death of my fan who was murdered last December at party when my song was being played, it was an unfortunate incident, I felt very bad. I had earlier sent my condolence to the family of the deceased. Though I don't know the guy who died but I mourned his death for a week.” On why he sang 'You may kiss The Bride' a song that brought him to lime light, Bollie said, “I sang 'You
May Kiss the Bride' because I realised the most interesting part of any wedding ceremony is where the priest or the pastors says the groom may kiss the bride. I felt if I sing the song it would go a long way to help preserve the marriage institution song to that effect it would go far.

I realised marriage is good but the song also reveals the good and bad side of marriage.” On his impression about Nigeria, Bollie who sees Nigeria as a second home because of his fan base said “I plan to stay in Nigeria for about six months to do some recordings in some studios.” Bollie who won the year 2007 Gbedu Awards Best Foreign Act Africa in Nigeria performed at Lekki Beach on 7th of April alongside Weird MC, Konga and other artistes.
