Popular Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe, is in a mourning mood, as she is set to lay her mother to rest, today, November 28.

The Nigerian Voice recalls that Mercy Aigbe announced the passing of her mum, Abisola Grace Owodunni on Wednesday, September 24. She shared a candlelight on her Instagram page with crying emojis, while wishing her late mum to rest in peace.

Sharing more updates via her Instagram page on Thursday, Mercy Aigbe posted photos of herself and her late mother in commemoration of her service of songs, stating that today is heavy for her, noting how tomorrow will be heavier as they lay her mum to rest.

Taking to her Instagram page on Friday, Mercy Aigbe shared a video of herself donning a traditional outfit, praying for calmness, strength and peace, as she lays her mother to rest today.

She wrote:
"As I prepare to lay my mother to rest today, I ask God for calmness, strength, and peace.

Rest well, Mommy."
