Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Funke Akindele, has opened up on her struggle before fame in the Nigerian movie industry, Nollywood.
The box-office queen, via her Instagram page, revealed that getting to her current phase wasn't easy due to her gender.
She shared how hard work, dedication, perseverance, including staying true to her craft, embracing originality, and carving a niche for herself, eventually led to her blossoming career.
Akindele, who is still promoting her record-breaking December cinema release 'Behind The Scenes' further appreciated her fans for their unwavering support, urging them to keep up the energy.
She wrote:
