Nigerian filmmaker, Niyi Akinmolayan, has dropped an important advice for Nigerian actors and actresses.

The renowned filmmaker, via his Instagram page, emphasized that Nollywood stars should desist from signing contracts that hinders them from promoting other movies that they are featured in.

He asserted that the movie industry is not that financially buoyant, stressing that their worth is important for the growth of the industry.

The award-winning filmmaker urged them not to hinder their growth, advising them to converse amongst themselves.

He wrote:
"Actors... I know you all need money. But please stop signing contracts that tell you not to promote other films you are in. Nollywood is not that rich (Far from it) and you r worth more... you are a part of the necessary ingredients for growth in the industry. Don't stifle yourself.

You all should have the convo with yourselves!!!"
