‎"Our Elders Deserve Calm Waters, Not Raised Voices" - Wumi Toriola On Why She Apologized To Afeez Owo

By Oluwarantimi Oludase

Popular Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola, has explained the reason behind her apology to her senior colleague, Afeez Owo.

The actress, who was recently involved in an online ruckus with the husband of actress Mide Martins, had gone on her knees to apologize to the actor in a viral video.

Explaining the reason behind her apology, she revealed that she is a true ambassador of culture, and is well aware that in times of anger, elders should be off limits.

She further revealed that elders don't deserve raised voices, but calm waters, adding that she has chosen peace.

She wrote:
“I chose to apologise to our Legend because I am a true ambassador of culture, and even in “anger”, our elders should be off limits

Also, because our elders deserved calm waters, not raised voices

Once again, to our Fans, friends, no more grudges
I have chosen Peace.
Thank you for your forgiving self @officialafeezowo_fanspage @officialafeezowo."

Refreshing your memory, the Nigerian Voice recalls that the beginning of their rift was when Afeez Owo in a viral interview in October, had described Wumi's roles in movies as a depiction of her true character, adding that she is indeed violent.

Enraged by Afeez's claim, Wumi, in a now-deleted viral video on her Instagram page, had slammed the veteran actor for making such claims about her, labelling the interview about her as "rubbish."
