"Everyday Brings Fresh Chaos, Yet The Government Is Silent" - Ayo Makun Demands Accountability And Real Action From Government, Amid Insecurity In Nigeria
Popular Nigerian comedian, Ayo Makun, better known as AY, has expressed his utter displeasure with the hike in insecurity across several states in Nigeria.
The award-winning comedian, via the popular microblogging platform, X formerly known as Twitter, stated that the country is now becoming a crime scene, citing instances of how bandits attack churches; children getting kidnapped from schools, and the death of a Brigadier General by terrorists.
He stressed that day-in-day-out, sees fresh chaos erupt. AY wondered if the issues plaguing the country needs external intervention.
Calling out the government, he stressed that Nigerians need safety, accountability, and real action, not silence.
He wrote:
"Nigeria is turning into a crime scene. Bandits storm churches to kill and abduct Christians. Children are kidnapped from schools. A Brigadier General is shot dead. Every day brings fresh chaos yet the government remains silent.
How did we get here? And must outsiders come to fix what our leaders refuse to confront?
Which way Nigeria? We need safety, accountability and real action, not silence."
