Uche Ogbodo, a Nollywood actress, has shared the reason behind her decision to undergo body enhancement surgery.

The mother of three, while speaking in a recent interview, shared that the birth of her third child altered the way she looked, and she wasn't confident about herself, hence her decision to go through the surgical process in order to protect her mental health.

She further shared that despite how many celebrities do not inform the public of their decisions, she made the conscious decision to inform the public about undergoing a body enhancement surgery, because she strongly believes in transparency, especially as a public figure who many look up to.

She added that no one is perfect, especially mothers, noting how going under the knife during the birth of her three children contributed to her decision to enhance her body.

She said:
"Growing up, I was busty, but I never had an hourglass figure. Having babies made things worse. After my third child, I didn’t like the way I looked. I felt I owed it to myself to be happy and confident. I did the s¥rgery for me, not anyone else, for my mental health, to feel good and enough”.

“In this country, people are hardly transparent, especially celebrities. You’re a star, but you lie to those who admire you. Why should you disappear and return with a perfect body, pretending you were born like that? I believe in encouraging women with my own experiences.

"Nobody is perfect, especially mothers who have gone through surgeries. I did mine three times. I won’t just vanish and come back with a flat tummy and round hips without admitting I worked on myself."
