Fast-rising singer, Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, popularly known as Spyro, has recounted his experience with failure.

The "Who is your guy" crooner, via his Instagram page, recounted how he thought he would never amount to anything in life, stressing how he constantly battled with thoughts of failure while growing up.

Noting how his father largely contributed to him seeing himself as a failure by constantly reminding him of how much he had failed, and on the long run affected his personality.

He however, revealed that despite that phase, God's hand was still up his life, as he always narrowly succeeded in the toughest periods.

Spyro further revealed how he kept failing from secondary school even up till his university days, however, God stood by him.

He wrote:
"Let me be honest with you all as I journey into the next phase of my life, the truth is that I never thought I would amount to anything in life ,I battled with thoughts of “FAILURE” constantly growing up and my Father contributed largely to that as he never stopped telling me how much of a FAILURE I was till I internalized it and started manifesting it but in that phase I noticed something and it was that the hand of God was upon my life as I always just managed to succeed even in the toughest of times ....I got into secondary and on entering the first day I already was nurturing failure .My mum came on a a visiting day and on seeing me she bursted out crying as she saw what I had become “A FAILURE” same with university but somehow God just kept showing off because how else would I have graduated UNIBADAN 😊 I left one of the final exams without writing nothing (a compulsory course) I just forgot all I read 😊 But result came out and I passed “AH” I literally wrote nothing ....Reflecting on my life right now and I just want to say THANK you JESUS ....
