"I Can't Get Over My Father's Death" - Niniola Shares Traumatizing Incident
Nigerian singer, Niniola Apata, professionally known as Niniola, has shared how the death of her father is one of the tragic incidents she can never forget.
The singer, while speaking in a recent interview with Jay On Air, shared that her late father, Simeon Apata, a retired Nigerian Army Brigadier-General, was assassinated in her presence. Noting how she was his favourite child, she stressed that his murder still rings in her mind.
Niniola further revealed that she was at a tender age when the tragic incident occurred, and the memory still lingers on.
She said:
"I was in the house when my dad was murdered. And I was his favourite child so you can imagine [the trauma]. Till today, I’m not over it. I can never get over it."
“I was very young when it happened. I don’t remember my exact age then but it wasn’t a good memory.”
Recall that Niniola 's father, Gen. Apata (rtd.) was assassinated by gunmen on January 8, 1995, in Lagos, in the presence of his family.
