"Maybe Love Isn't For Me In This Lifetime" - Tiwa Savage
Popular Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage, has revealed that she has never really experienced true love.
The self-acclaimed Queen of Afrobeats, while speaking in a recent interview with Zeze Mills, stated that she has never experienced true love, except from her son Jamil, "I don’t think I’ve experienced true love apart from my son," she said.
Citing instances from her previous relationships, the mother of one declared that it was all infatuation, adding that her marriage is not excluded, "Because every time I look back at all my relationships, I’m like, nah, that wasn’t love. I was just infatuated. At that time I thought I was in love. I don’t think I experienced true love even when I was married,” she said.
Seemingly fed up at her situation, the singer asserted that maybe she isn't meant to be loved, stressing that she had put in several efforts to love, but it didn't work, "Maybe love isn’t for me because I have tried over and over again so maybe love isn’t for me this lifetime,”
The Nigerian Voice recalls that Tiwa Savage was formerly married to her former manager Tunji Balogun, aka Teebillz, in 2013, but got divorced in 2018. The couple however, birthed a son named Jamil.
