"Bus Stop Or No Bus Stop, Fada No Dey Finish" - Charly Boy On Renaming Of His Bus Stop
Veteran Nigerian singer and activist, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has reacted to the decision of the Bariga Local Council Development Area to rename 'Charly Boy Bus Stop' to 'Baddo Bus Stop'.
Recall that the decision to rename the maverick singer's bus stop was made public on Friday by Kolade David, the Chairman of Bariga LCDA, who also announced that other Nigerian stars including 9ice, Tony Tetuila, Bukayo Saka, and King Sunny Ade were also honoured with street names.
Following the announcement, many netizens and fans of Charly Boy, took to social media to air their grievances at the action, citing political games as one of the leading factors into the renaming of the long-standing bus stop.
Charly Boy, who had earlier emphasized that a place can be renamed, not a legacy, took to his X handle to throw further shades at the government.
He emphasized that whether there is a bus stop or not, he still remains, urging them to verify.
He wrote on X:
"Bus Stop or no bus stop, Fada no dey finish.
Go verify.
Dia Father's left Nyash."
