Nigerian comedian and skitmaker, Apaokagi Adedoyin Maryam, popularly known as Taaooma, has expressed her anger at the ongoing increase in insecurity and terrorism across several states in Nigeria.

The Nigerian Voice recalls the report of the killing of three persons during a church programme at a branch of the Christ Apostolic Church, CAC, in Kwara State on Tuesday evening, with the abduction of some members and the pastor.

This incident follows the tragic abduction of 25 secondary schoolgirls in Kebbi State on Monday, November 17, 2025.

Much to the dismay of the public, there was also another report of bandits kidnapping students and teachers at St. Mary's Papiri Private Catholic Secondary School Papiri, Agwara LGA, Niger State.

Reacting to the tragic news, Taaooma expressed her fear, stating that it's hard not to feel that Nigerians are just mere statistics.

She noted that the figures being given to the cases of insecurity plaguing the country is alarming, wondering why there's no justice, accountability or meaningful action.

Addressing the President, she stressed that Nigerians are fed up of condolence messages and setting up committees, stating that protection is of dire need, not mere statements.

Additionally, she stated that Nigerians deserve better in all ramifications, calling on those in power to treat the citizens as humans, and not just mere statistics.

She wrote:
"It’s getting hard not to feel like Nigerians are just numbers on a sheet. Mere statistics!

100 today, 23 tomorrow.
No justice. No accountability. No meaningful action.

Mr. President, Nigerians are tired of condolences and committees.

We need real protection, not statements.
We need actual results, not promises.
If insecurity is truly a priority, it has to show in the outcomes not just the speeches.

How can a country carry the same security crisis for over 15 years and still be running in circles?

Why is it so hard to track down criminals, dismantle terror groups, and guarantee safety for ordinary people?

Where exactly is the disconnect?
Every morning brings a new horror story, a new family grieving, a new headline that shouldn’t exist.

We can’t even get one week just one week of good news.

Nigerians deserve better.
We deserve safety.
We deserve leadership that treats human lives as more than statistics."
