Nollywood actress Sunshine Rosman, has revealed that many filmmakers in the Nigerian movie industry use beauty as a criteria to cast actresses, rather than talent.

Speaking in a recent episode of the Baaj and Paul podcast, the elegant actress asserted that several filmmakers choose to cast actresses with beauty instead of those with talent.

She maintained that the choice of the filmmakers has led to an increase in body enhancement surgeries among the female stars.

Sunshine Rosman urged the industry key players to prioritize casting talents beyond beauty in order to return normalcy to the movie industry, Nollywood.

She said:
"Majority of Nollywood filmmakers prioritise beauty over talent. There are good directors who regard only talent but to be honest, majority prefer beauty to talent. That is why you see a lot of movie stars doing surgeries to enhance their bodies."
