‎Following the massacre, many well-meaning Nigerians have criticized the government for failing to address the incessant killings, with several celebrities joining the public outcry.

‎Taking to her X handle, the winner of Big Brother Naija season 7 argued that there were no victims in Yelwata, stating that they were all killed and burnt alive.

‎She questioned who President Tinubu went to visit in the hospital and further criticized him for standing on a red rug.
