Popular Nigerian singer, Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, better known as Mayorkun, has hailed his former record label boss and Afrobeats star, Davido.

‎Recall that Mayorkun was formerly signed to Davido Music World, DMW, record label in 2016, but exited the label in 2021.

‎Mayorkun's depature from Davido's record label led to speculations of an ongoing rift between the duo.

‎The 'Holy Father' crooner, however, underplayed the speculations of an ongoing rift with Davido, during a recent interview with 3Music TV, where he revealed that upon his exit from DMW, Davido was the one who facilitated his deal with Sony Music Africa.

‎Mayorkun said:
‎“Aside from having my label, right now I am also with Sony Africa. Shout out to Davido for that as well, he facilitated the deal."
