Taking to his X handle, Deji noted that his biggest pain about the issue between VDM and the EFCC is because of his respect and reverence for the current chairman of the anti-graft agency.
He further questioned why the 'ratel' boss is still detained for 6 days now. He also wondered how VDM is the issue of Nigeria or the anti-corruption agency.
He wrote on X:
"The most painful thing to me personally about the issue of my client and EFCC is that the current chairman of the commission is someone I have a lot of regard for. I do not understand why VDM is still detained 6 days later. I do not understand how VDM who only uses his voice against societal issues the problem of Nigeria or anti corruption?"
The Nigerian Voice reported on Friday, that popular human rights lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, via his X handle, announced the arrest of VeryDarkMan by the police at GTB.

Following continuous clamour from Nigerians on the reason for VeryDarkMan's detainment, the EFCC on Tuesday, released a press release revealing that the petitions against VDM "pertains to grave allegations of financial malfeasance which cannot be ignored by the Commission."
The agency further added that VDM has been offered an administrative bail and would be released after fulfilling all the bail conditions.
