"Please, Does Anyone Understand The Press Release" - Tunde Ednut Reacts To EFCC's Press Release On The Arrest Of VeryDarkMan
Popular celebrity blogger, Tunde Olaoluwa Adekunle, better known as Tunde Ednut, has reacted to the recent press release of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on the arrest of self-acclaimed activist, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan.
Taking to his Instagram page, he noted that in the EFCC's recent press release, they did not even mention that VeryDarkMan embezzled money or was involved in fraudulent activity. He wondered if the job of the EFCC was the same as the police now.
He further asked the public if they understood the anti-graft agency's press release, because according to him: he could not grasp the English used.
Tunde Ednut wrote on Instagram:
"In their Press Release, EFCC no even fit talk say VDM tiff money or what else is the job of EFCC, no be to arrest person wey tiff money? Na police work them dey do now?
Please, does anyone understand the press release? Me, I don't understand all that English that they used 4 days to type.
See them calling VDM, Martins Innocent. Una serious so?
"Na wa for this country. This is happening only cause he has been calling them out. This is not right."
The Nigerian Voice reported on Friday, that popular human rights lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, via his X handle, announced the arrest of VeryDarkMan by the police at GTB.
Deji Adeyanju further released a preliminary statement on Friday evening, which clarified that VeryDarkMan was in the custody of the EFCC in Abuja.
Four days since the arrest of VeryDarkMan, the EFCC on Tuesday, released a press release revealing that the petitions against VDM "pertains to grave allegations of financial malfeasance which cannot be ignored by the Commission."
They further added that he has been offered an administrative bail and would be released after fulfilling all the bail conditions.
