"I'm Still In The Nollywood Industry Because Of Ibrahim Chatta" - Actor Apa
Nigerian actor Sanusi Izihaq better known as Apa has attributed his stay in the Nollywood industry to the help and persistence of his colleague Ibrahim Chatta.
The actor, while shedding light on his challenges in the music industry during a recent interview with actress Biola Bayo on Talk to B podcast, praised Ibrahim Chatta for not giving up on him, and being a pillar of support for him in the movie industry.
Apa said:
Big shout out to Ibrahim chatta, I would have left Nollywood if not for him. I remember when a director who had never met me before but only heard about me vowed to deal with me. This is someone I never worked with, but I was eager to.
“However things got a bit tense and I despised a toxic working environment, so I become emotional and I started crying
“Ibrahim Chatta has met me crying two to three occasions, and asked what happened. I told him that I would leave the industry but he always advised and encouraged me instead.
"I have left film making like 3 different occasions but he called me back to work on his project to ensure I don’t leave."
