Popular Nigerian lawyer, Stan Alieke, has issued a vital legal advisory to Nigerians, stressing the importance of conducting due diligence on any property before purchasing it.

The former lawyer of controversial singer Speed Darlington shared this advice via his Instastory. According to him, verifying a property before purchase is essential due to the rising number of fraudulent agents and sellers in the real estate market.

He further warned that purchasing a property with fraudulent documents could lead to its seizure, while buying land or buildings in government-prohibited areas could result in demolition.

Stan Alieke wrote on his Instastory:
"Pls make sure you verify or carry out a due diligence search on a property before buying it. There's a lot of fraudulent agents/ sellers out there.

If you buy a property with a fraudulent title documents you will definitely lose it & if you buy a property that's in a place prohibited by the govn't, the government will demolish it. A lot of persons have learnt the hard way."
