Popular Nigerian singer and Queen of Afrobeats, Tiwa Savage, has explained the reason behind the increasing number of artistes in the Nigerian entertainment industry.

The singer noted that Nigeria's economy is unfavorable at the moment, and many of the celebrities coming into the spotlight today, are all in to make money.

Speaking on the ‘Shopping The Sneakers’ podcast, Tiwa Savage explained that the unfavourable economy has made many people turn to acting, singing and many more in order to make ends meet.

She said:
“When you come to Nigeria, you will understand why we breed so many superstars. To survive in Nigeria is something else so that’s why the artists that come out of Nigeria are just like hustlers. They are just hustling.”
