The issue of Chidimma Vanessa Onwe Adetshina, who had to pull out of Miss South Africa Africa 2024 over the drama that arose by South Africans, who claimed her mother committed nationality theft, has seen Nigerians accept her into the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 beauty pageant.

However, controversial reality star, Josephine Ijeoma Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has criticized the decision to add Chidimma Vanessa Onwe Adetshina to the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 pageant.

Phyna argued on her X handle that Chidimma's inclusion is like a threat to other Nigerians on the pageantry show considering the fact that she was just admitted from the South African Pageantry.

Phyna wrote on X:
“Just thinking out loud oh
I’m in support of chidima o, but this one she now wants to rep us like this…. What will now happen to our own typical Nigerian Queens that have been preparing for it too, Omo i for Advise her to leave pageant first or for this year… then go next tym.”
