May Edochie Slams Ex-lawyer With 1 Billion Lawsuit Over Alleged Cyberbullying, Defamation
May Edochie, the estranged wife of Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has filed a 1 billion lawsuit against her ex-lawyer, Emeka Ugwuonye, on the grounds of cyberbullying, defamation, and cyberstalking.
May, ably represented by her legal team, Graylaw Partners, issued a notice on her Instagram page, stating that the former lawyer had consistently published defamatory posts about May on social media.
The letter stressed that the lawyer's actions led to ridicule, harassment, and malicious attacks that endangered her safety.
Furthermore, May requested that every defamatory publications about her be retracted, with the lawyer expected to issue a public apology across all his social media platforms.
She also slammed him with a 1 billion lawsuit for damages, and harm caused.
A part of the statement read:
“These posts are a calculated assault on our client’s reputation and have further imperiled her safety through malicious threats and false allegations.
Beyond your own publications, you have incited third parties to amplify these communications, causing her severe and irreparable harm.”
