Veteran dancehall singer, Augustine Ahmedu Obiabo, best known as Blackface, has advised the protesters of the ongoing nationwide protest to ensure orderliness and avoid unrest.

The singer stands in solidarity with the protesters, he stated that their reason for protesting is very right due to the economic situation.

Blackface believes that the protesters have every right to clamour for their rights to be met amidst the economic hardship, however, he believes that the protest should not turn violent.

He urged the public to ensure to stay safe and avoid destroying other person's properties.

He wrote on his social media handle;
“My people, I know things are rough and tough and yes, we deserve better from our politicians in power enriching themselves while we, the people, have very little to get by!

“As we protest, please stay safe, as your life is important, and don’t go destroying people’s properties.”
