Singer, Simi Reacts To Building Collapse In Jos
Popular Nigerian singer and wife of Adekunle Gold, Simisola Kosoko, best known as Simi, has taken to social media to express her grievances at the tragic incident that claimed lives in Jos on Friday, July 12th, 2024.
Recall that the tragic incident of a secondary school building collapse in the Busa Buji, Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State was the headline of yesterday as lives were lost.
According to reports, 22 students lost their lives while 132 sustained injuries in the collapsed school building.
Weighing in on the tragic event, Simi described it as an evidence of lack of value for life and insensitivity on the part of humans. She took to the popular microblogging platform X formerly known as Twitter to bemoan her frustration at the tragic incident.
She wrote;
“All those babies just gone like that because of people’s negligence. The worst thing about Nigeria is the lack of value for life. The things people die for are so maddening.”
