“I Made More Money Than My Teacher In A Day” – Seun Kuti
Popular controversial singer, Seun Kuti, has shed light on his life while growing up as a child.
The singer who is the son of late icon, Fela Kuti, disclosed that his father was so rich during his lifetime and was generous to the core to the extent that he catered for a lot of people, and when he died he left no inheritance, he said.
He further opened up on how his pocket money daily was huge than his teacher's monthly salary. He made this known in a video on his Instagram handle. He said;
“When Fela was the top musician in Nigeria, we were living with about 500 people in our house. All the money I was meant to inherit, Fela used it to cater for people.
Everyone in Kalakuta was receiving daily allowance and weekly salaries. Both Kalakuta and [African] shrine. Almost 1000 people. They were artisans… We had all the professions in Kalakuta.
“My pocket money in 1990, throughout my primary school was N100 per day. My pocket money a day was bigger than my teacher’s salary.”
