Popular Nigerian rapper, Emeka Akumefule, best known as Blaqbonez, has made his stance that popular Afrobeats singer, Wizkid is the main reason that Afrobeats is going global.

BlaqBonez revealed this in an interview with American publication KTLA, he revealed that Wizkid's “Essence," which he featured Tems had a lot of effect as it made Afrobeats go international.

BlaqBonez said;
“Afrobeats took a massive leap when Wizkid dropped Essence and it went craazy. It just told the world Afrobeats is something you really have to watch. Crazy things are happening right now for Afrobeats. More talented artistes are coming up.”
