Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has taken to social media to announce his departure from Nigeria over a failed assassination attempt on his life.

Recall that The Nigerian Voice reported that the actor called on Nigerians to join him in a protest aimed at getting justice for the death of late Ilerioluwa Aloba, best known as Mohbad.

The protest which was scheduled to take place on September 30th could not take place due to the absence of the actor at the late singer Mohbad’s Coroner court.

Explaining his absence, Yomi Fabiyi revealed that he recently escaped an assassination attempt on his life.

He claimed that in his quest to get justice for late Mohbad, some people were after his life and made it evident by sending assassins after him.

The actor made this known on his Instagram page, he stated that he was lucky to be alive and he is out of the country already.

He said:
“I escaped assassination two days ago and they still planned to kill me tonight. If they had succeeded, I would have been buried tomorrow.

“They will now waste me all because I’m fighting for Justice. I didn’t collect money from anybody. I am just doing my own for God. I have to run for my life. I just left Nigeria unplanned and as it is now I don’t even know my destination."
