Innoson Queries JAMB And Set To Investigate Its Pronouncement On Osigwe

By Agboola Ibrahim

Dr Innocent Chukuma, the founder of Innoson Motors has expressed resentment over the Joint And Matriculation Board Pronouncement on Osigwe, the supposed best 2023 Universal Tertiary Examination, UTME, student.

Dr. Innocent has come out to defend Osigwe's integrity shortly after the board through its Head Of Public Affairs nullified Osigwe's UTME result.

The board in a recent statement claimed that Osigwe, the supposed best 2023 UTME student used software to manipulate her result.

Recall that in the early hours of March 2023, after the UTME results were released, Osigwe from Anambra was announced as the best UTME student for scoring 368 in the exam.

The announcement swiftly drew Osigwe to high-profile personalities and it prompted them to promote her and reward her. One of the philanthropists was Dr Innocent Chukuma who quickly offered her 3 million naira and a scholarship.

Surprisingly, the board in a recent statement nullified the result and claimed that Osigwe falsified her result by dubiously inflating it. The board retracted her supposed 360 UTME score to 249. The result was eventually withdrawn and the board sets to prosecute her for falsification.

Furthermore, In a counter statement, Dr. Innocent Chukuma has defended Osigwe's integrity by claiming that the little girl cannot manipulate results judging by the background of the little girl.

Osigwe who believed in the girl's mental capacity vouched for the girl's outstanding UTME performance. He, therefore plans to investigate JAMB for the pronouncement.

'Osigwe in a post via his official Twitter handle, @cornelosigwe said, “The girl I met doesn’t have the brain and capacity to manipulate her result. There is more to this story. A proper investigation needs to be done. Abeg let the poor breath.

“That girl was one of the most brilliant in her school, according to the Principal, her parents couldn’t even afford to pay for her WAEC and NECO Exams. Of what advantage will it offer her to manipulate her JAMB score? Let the poor breathe pls.”
