Canadian Rapper, Drake Becomes $2.7 Million Richer After Israel Adesanya Knocks Pereira Out
Drake, the award-winning Canadian rapper, has won $2.7 million by betting on Israel Adesanya to beat Alex Pereira at UFC 287 and reclaim the middleweight title.
Adesanya won the 185lb title back just five months after losing it to Pereira, who had previously beaten him twice in kickboxing. Drake lost $1.6 million when he backed Adesanya to win the first time against Pereira, but he made up for it with his bet on the rematch.
The rapper placed two bets on Adesanya - $500,000 on him to win, which returned $885,000, and $400,000 on him to win by knockout, which returned a massive $1.8 million. Drake's massive earnings from his UFC bets have garnered attention, with many speculating on how much he has spent on his gambling hobby.
