Funke Akindele Goes Further As She Visits Celestial Church, Says Her Party Will End Hardship In Lagos
Nigerian actress, Funke Akindele is a household name in the entertainment industry and over the years, she has been one of Nigerian leading women in the Nollywood space. The actress who has been acting for decades has decided not to just keep up with this amazing craft but to also to dive into politics.
Earlier in 2022, when the Nollywood actress was unveiled as the running mate to the PDP gubernatorial candidate, mixed reactions trailed it as many claimed the actress won't do well in politics for acting is her calling. Some said she was lured into politics because of her fame. Despite all of this, the actress and movie producer have been consistent to prove that she is worthy to be a Lagos State deputy Governor.
The actress was said to have visited a celestial church in a report filed by Vanguard News on Sunday the 15th of January. During the church service, the actress addressed the congregation and reassured them that if voted in, herself and the PDP gubernatorial candidate will make Ikorodu area of Lagos attractive to not just local investors but also foreign ones too.
She made this claim during the Thanksgiving which was organize in appreciation to God get running for a political positions. She said this at the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), Ibukun-Olu Parish Aleke Circuit Headquarters in Ikorodu, Lagos.
The actress added that in as much as she knows that it is only God that can solve all men's problem, herself and the PDP gubernatorial candidate will work together with the fear of God and aim to alleviate the masses' suffering. Funke Akindele also urged her audience to believe I'm God as she cited herself as a case study on how she never gave up on hard moments in her life. The actress is one of Nigerian entertainers who recently joined politics.
