Burna Boy Nominated Again For 2020 Bet Awards
Multi-award-winning Nigerian Afro-fusion musician, Burna Boy, has once again been nominated for the annual Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards. This is an award which celebrates creative expression and black excellence across music, film, television, sports, and philanthropy.
Burna Boy won the Best International Act category at the 2019 BET Awards, and his mom and manager, Bose Ogulu, better known as Mama Burna accepted the award on his behalf with a mind-blowing acceptance speech centred on black excellence.
The announcement of this year’s nomination was made on Monday, June 15, 2020, and Burna Boy was nominated in the Best International Act Award category alongside South African singer, Sho Madjozi, Stormzy, and Dave from the United Kingdom, Ninho and S.Pri Noir from France and Innoss’B from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Organizers say the virtual awards ceremony will be broadcast on BET Africa at 2 am CAT (1am WAT) on Monday, June 29th, 2020, and the show will be hosted by American comedian and actress, Amanda Seales.
