A dark pall almost descended on the Nigerian music industry when the man who produced Olu Maintain's greatest hit, Yahoozee, was involved in a near fatal crash along the ever busy Lagos-Ibadan Expressway last Sunday in Olu Maintain's car.

According to eyewitness accounts, the car was a total right-off and it was a sheer miracle that the two occupants, Puffy T and DJ Freaky survived. Meanwhile, unconfirmed reports indicate that Puffy T is recuperating at an undisclosed hospital in Ibadan. Attempts to reach him for comments was abortive.

They were traveling in Olu Maintain's 2005 Honda IV Tec car. Freaky was behind the wheels when the crash occurred.
