Canadian singer and songwriter The Weeknd is set to drop his third studio album.

But what has surprised Nigerians is the title of the coming album.

On 21 September 2016, the 26-year-old announced the name of his third studio album, Starboy, with its first single with the same title featuring French electronic music duo Daft Punk.

But many people in Nigeria and even abroad have already familiarized the word ‘Starboy’ with Wizkid.

Wizkid himself was reported on 5 March 2013, to have established his label imprint called Starboy Entertainment.

If this is just a case of mere coincidence, one doesn’t know – as it is said, no idea is original.

Nigerians, however, have already begun talking about it.
