Nigerian Entertainers storms Amsterdam’s festival
Annually, Amsterdam is known to indulge in a festival called queen's day. Recently, it has was changed to kings day.
This particular day is the Dutch national holiday set aside in honor of King Willem- Alexander.
The event had people from different countries, even Nigerians where not left out, as some of our Nollywood actors and entertainers stormed the events.
Nigeria's entertainers in attendance were: Kunle Afolayan , Joke Silva, Bimbo Akintola, Ufuoma McDermott, Taiwo Ajayi-Lycett, Ifeoma Fafunwa, Elvina Ibru, Ayo Animashaun, Dakore Akande , to mention a few.
They were spotted at the fun-filled festival dressed in Orange- the color of the day. According to Kunle Afolayan, who documented the trip on social media, he had this to say:
“It's was an eventful day yesterday in Amsterdam. The Netherlands yesterday witnessed the best of Nigerian entertainment industry as we were invited and hosted by KLM Nigeria to be part of the Kings Day celebration. It's was so fun to have a blend of Dutch and NIGERIAN music, food, dance and general culture.”
