A research report by the National Institute for legislative studies has revealed the allowance and salaries of Nigeria Senators and representatives.

The report which is dated October 7, 2015 has shown that Federal lawmakers earn the least amongst nine countries across North America, Africa, Europe and Asia.

The National Assembly in Nigeria comprises of the Senate (Red Chamber) and the House of Representatives (Green Chamber). The two chambers have come under fierce criticism and attack from citizens who believe they earn too much as salary and allowances but the NILS report analysis posited that Nigeria's federal lawmakers do not as much as their colleagues in other countries.
