Stressing the reasons behind the gesture, the President said it is part of his belief in pan Africanism, values and heritage which Nollywood has helped to showcase to the world. He stated that the plots of land were given out to reward and encourage the stars to see the country as their home.
“Nollywood and Ghollywood have been able to capture and tell our stories better than any outsider can do. Africans relate to your stories and same with those in the diaspora and the Caribbeans and around the world,” the President said.
