Di'ja Still With Us—Mavin Records
The management of Mavin Records has debunked rumours making the rounds that one of its artistes, Di'ja has dumped music for a teaching job in Kaduna State, stating that the talented singer is in the state for humanitarian purpose.
Reacting to the rumour, the label said on Wednesday, “No, she has not abandoned singing; she only took to teaching for charity. Di'ja, taught a class of 55 students when she visited Kaduna, her mom's hometown.”
During her visit to the state, Di'ja, born Hadiza Blell, used the opportunity to visit radio stations to promote her music and the school, Husna Academy, where she worked as a stand-in teacher for a day.
She also reportedly donated some study materials to the school.
