The brouhaha between Soundcity and P-Square brought up allegations of payola in the Nigerian entertainment industry, especially in the broadcast media.

Since the issue came up, different people have accused the station of requesting huge amount of money from artistes before playing their music videos.

But Nollywood producer, Charles Novia, who aired his view on the issue, accused all stakeholders in the industry of being guilty of the offence. He said both artistes and media outfits should be blamed.
